Bio
- Christian Straube was born in 1960. He started his first band at age 15, played in several bands afterwards, youngest member of Nine Days Wonder in Mannheim (Deutscher Rockpreis), Eden, Lüdenscheid. Worked in the studio with Carlos Santana, Rory Gallagher and others.
- Tourguitarist for Barry Mc Guirre (USA), Deliverance (Canada), Uriah Heep and others.
- After becoming a merchant for music supplies he was a classic guitar student of Helmut Österreich/Frankfurt, Michael Tröster/Kassel and Oskar Ghiglia/ Basel. Master courses, concert exam.
- From 1988 to 2000 Christian Straube was director of the department plucked instruments at the Pfälzische Musikakademie and Musikschule, Speyer, as well as tutor at the Mannheim University of Music.
- 1996 he founded the festival "Speyerer Gitarrensommer" and the local cultural association.
- Since 2003 he works as a guitar teacher at the Swiss musicschool Ebikon/Luzern.
- Every year Christian Straube plays around 50 concerts (solo/duett/ensemble) in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, in the UK and in France. Regular appearances in radio and tv.

- Current projects of Christian Straube among others are his ensemble "Grand Cru" - the resp. album got the award as cd of the month of magazine "Stereoplay" - and his duett with Friedemann Witecka.
